Our new premium abrasive Mirka Iridium® is now also available in finer grits, 800 and 1000.

The Iridium is engineered for improving your speed and efficiency with no compromise on quality – an excellent finish every time. Its special coating has been engineered to prevent clogging and reduce pilling, to increase the useable lifetime of the abrasive as its aluminium grains stay sharper for longer.

The Mirka Iridium is perfected for speed and efficiency with a clog-resistant coating. The flexible, paper-backed Iridium abrasive has been available in the 40-600 grit range since its recent launch. Now the range has been completed as new grits from 800 to 1000 are introduced.

The special coating of the Iridium has been engineered to prevent clogging and reduce pilling, to increase the useable lifetime of the abrasive as its aluminium grains stay sharper for longer.

“We are pleased to complete the Iridium range with these new grits”, says Nicklas Lerstrand, Product Manager. “Iridium is one of our highest quality abrasives, and now it can answer to the demands of the automotive sector even better than before.”

With multihole pattern configuration for discs and strips, the Iridium is compatible with Mirka’s dust-free sanding solutions to improve both the work environment and the finish quality. Iridium is engineered to triumph on both soft and hard surfaces, which makes it the ideal premium choice for professionals in any industry, ranging from collision repair to automotive and marine manufacturing, from construction and decoration to wood processing. The newly introduced 800-1000 grits are aimed at clear coat and primer sanding in automotive refinishing.
