Mirka now introduces new orbital and random orbital sanders suited for hard-to-reach areas; a delta sander Mirka® DEOS 663 CV ideal for corners and small 77 mm random orbital sander in two different orbits, Mirka® DEROS 325 CV and 350 CV, great for tight spots and small repairs.
The new additions to the Mirka DEOS and Mirka DEROS product families are built on existing technology, adapted to the specific applications. Efficiency and comfort were key factors according to Mats Bystedt, Portfolio Manager for Power Tools:
“To be honest, sanding can be tedious and tough. The focus for our development team has been to make sanding faster, easier and more comfortable. Dare I say, even fun?”
This is possible thanks to the compact but powerful brushless motors and efficient stock removal with 3 mm orbit for the Mirka DEOS delta sander and 5 mm orbit for the Mirka DEROS 350.
The sanders are used by different professions, but the demands are similar, Bystedt explains,
“Whether you’re working in a body shop, wood workshop or on a construction job site when you sand for several hours a week, efficiency and ergonomics are key factors.”
Feedback from customers who have tested the sanders has been overwhelmingly positive,
“Above all, they appreciate the high efficiency, low profile, lightweight and minimal vibration levels,” Bystedt says.
The new sanders have integrated vibration sensors and Bluetooth low energy technology, so you can get vibration, speed and usage data via the myMirka® app. Application support specialist Tommy Rahkila says that warranty registration via the app couldn’t be easier:
“For Bluetooth connected tools simply pair the tool with myMirka, add an image of the receipt, enter your details and you’re done.”
He adds that there are new functions in development:
“Keep your eye out for new features coming soon and make sure you update to the latest version of myMirka.”
The Mirka DEOS 663 CV Delta has a 100 x 152 x 152 mm backing pad and 3 mm orbit. The small Mirka DEROS has a 77 mm backing pad and either 2,5 or 5 mm orbit. The new sanders are available to pre-order starting from the 6th of March and will be available at distributors worldwide from the beginning of April.
