Mirka supports Team Rynkeby 2018

2017-10-20

Next year Mirka will be supporting the Team Rynkeby – God Morgon Vaasa team's journey to Paris. Team Rynkeby – God Morgon is a Nordic charity project where local teams cycle together to Paris each year, to raise funds for children with critical illnesses. The donations collected in Finland will go in full to help children and young people with cancer, as well as their families, through the Aamu Säätiö and Sylva Ry foundations.

Jari Lemberg who works at Mirka is the manager of the Team Rynkeby – God Morgon Vaasa Team. He is a seasoned pro when it comes to cycling, and next June will be the second time he rides to Paris. A year ago, after cycling with the Jyväskylä team, he decided that it was high time to establish a Team Rynkeby – God Morgon team in Ostrobothnia too. "This is an excellent way to raise funds for a good cause and support children with critical illnesses. It's great to see with your own eyes how the funds actually help those in need. This project also helps us to raise awareness of cancer research and treatment." Jari explains.

"We have been supporting work that promotes the wellbeing of children and young people for a number of years. By supporting the local Team Rynkeby – God Morgon Vaasa team, we can now help children with cancer, and their families, ensuring that they get the best possible professional help and the opportunity to live a full life. We would also like to challenge other companies to get involved and support this great charity project," says Mirka's CEO Stefan Sjöberg.

We will be following Jari and the whole Team Rynkeby – God Morgon Vaasa team in their preparations throughout the winter, and cheering them along their ride to Paris in summer 2018.
