Collision Repair Process
1/9 - Step 1
Sanding - Remove Paint

Clean and inspect the surface before starting to sand with Iridium 80/120 grit and Mirka® DEROS 650CV, 150mm. Set the speed to 7000-8000 rpm.
2/9 - Step 2
Sanding - Feather edge

Sand feather edge with Iridium 180 grit.
Set the speed to 6000-7000 rpm.
3/9 -
Clean the surface

After degreasing add filler.
Apply dry guide coat once filler has fully cured.
4/9 - Step 3
Sanding - Filler

Continue sanding with Mirka® DEOS 383CV 70x198mm, and an Iridium strip 70x198mm, 120/180 grit.
Set the speed to 7500 rpm.
After that you can apply dry guide coat again.
If needed, apply a 2nd coat of filler and repeat process.
5/9 - Step 4
Sanding - Scratch conditioning

Continue sanding with Mirka® DEOS 383CV 70x198mm and Iridium 180/240 grit.
After that you can apply more dry guide coat.
6/9 - Step 5
Sanding - Prepare for primer

Continue sanding with Mirka® DEROS 650CV, 150mm, and Iridium 320 grit.
Set the speed to 6000-7000 rpm.
After that you can clean and mask off.
7/9 -
Apply primer

Apply primer.
After the primer has fully cured you can apply dry guide coat.
8/9 - Step 6
Sanding - Primer

Apply dry guide coat.
Sand with Iridium grit 320 strip and Mirka hand block.
Re-apply dry guide coat.
Sand with Iridium grit 500 150mm disc with Mirka DEROS 650CV and 5mm/10mm interface pad.
9/9 - Step 7
Sand Blending Area

Continue sanding with Mirka® DEROS 650CV, 150mm and Iridium 800 or 1000 grit.
Use a 5mm/10mm Interface pad.
Set the speed to 6000 rpm.
Clean, degrease and mask off.
After that, you can paint & lacquer.
