Mirka helps customise workspace with new Solution Trolley

Mirka UK Ltd is continuing to organise workshops with the help of the new Solution Trolley II, the latest addition to its growing accessories portfolio. The new trolley focuses on storage and product layout, so that technicians can have their tools, abrasives, accessories and dust extraction system in one place to increase efficiency and accessibility.

The new trolley comes as a ready-made workstation that has been designed by the R&D team, to be suitable for use across everyday collision repair workflows, while also allowing for customisation from the user to enhance flexibility. It has a large tool drawer, that enables the user to keep multiple tools in one location and reduces the need to grab tools from other workstations during work processes.

The user-focused design ensures all storage areas are positioned at the front, so there is less jumping around to find what is required for the job at hand. In addition, it provides the technician with better visibility of materials, so if items are running low, it is noticeable, and the technician can order replacements before they run out. The trolley wheels provide better mobility and smoother movement across the workshop floor, which helps support workflow efficiency that, in turn, leads to a reduction in key-to-key times.  The new wheels’ hard-wearing design makes the trolley suitable for use in paint and prep booths, as they will not get stuck in the metal floor grids.

The trolley can be customised with the help of a range of accessories, including additional shelves, a tool wall and hose arm and spray gun holder, to name but a few. The breadth of accessories enables businesses to tweak set-ups easily based on the type of jobs being worked on and the requirements of the workshop.

Steve Smith, national sales manager, Collision Repair at Mirka UK Ltd, says, “The Solution Trolley II doesn’t just organise a workspace, it transforms the way technicians work due to its standardised set-up as well as the option to customise it. We believe that by bringing tools, abrasives, and dust extraction into one intuitive, mobile setup, it removes wasted movement, reduces downtime, and keeps technicians focused on the job at hand.  The customisable nature of the trolley ensures it continues to evolve alongside the business and the jobs coming through the workshop, so that it is a practical solution designed not just for today but for the future, where it aids in sustained productivity and performance.”
