Vibration exposure

By connecting Mirka’s intelligent electric tools through Bluetooth low-energy technology with the mobile app the operator gets information about the sanding operation. The app measures the momentary vibration level and displays it on a colour-coded gauge. Operators can easily track and follow their daily vibration exposure level provided that the tool is always connected to the app.

Vibration levels are measured according to the ISO 5349-1:2001(E) standard. The bar turns yellow when the operator has been exposed to a daily vibration level of 2.5 m/s² and red when it exceeds 5.0 m/s². The app also gives advice on how to reduce the vibrations and informs when the maximum daily vibration exposure is exceeded.

Usage data

You are able to check current speed, current vibration and total usage time. If you have a cordless tool, you will also be able to see the battery charge level, battery health and number of charge cycles.

Standardize operating parameters

On cordless tools, you can lock the speed and the running time:

• RPM range management → Optimize and standardize a sanding process by locking and limiting sanding speed
• Interval setting / Auto-stop function → Set the maximum runtime regardless of how long the switch is pressed

Rename your tool

You can give a custom name to your tool that will help you know to which tool you are connected.
