Information Systems Controller


Based at our Milton Keynes office.

Role Purpose:

  • To ensure Mirka and its employees utilise IT equipment and systems to the required competence and according to instructions, processes and guidelines
  • To support Group IT at a local level and ensure security of data

User Support:

  • Develop and maintain required levels of user skills, knowledge, competence and capabilities
  • Optimise usage of Office365, particularly Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint by employees
  • Support users in Group systems e.g. MissWin, Agresso, SAP and be the contact with Mirka Group IT function
  • Conduct IT Employee Survey and implemenmt required actions
  • Issue and withdraw user equipment according to user role
  • Onboard new employees


  • Group IT
    • Fully support the implementation and development of Group systems, including software upgrades, network security
    • Maintain an open and constructive relationship with Group and other Mirka IT personnel
  • Mirka UK
    • Implement Business Continuity Systems
    • Implement Mirka EDI with Customers' systems (in collaboration with Group IT)
    • Manage the operational relationship with the outsourced IT Managed Services provider and Comms suppliers
    • Maintain and develop the Company Intranet (using SharePoint)
    • Troubleshoot issues

Compliance and Security:

  • Be responsible for IT GDPR compliance and Information Security according to applicable regulations, company guidelines and legislation
    • Data and Networks
    • IT and Comms Equipment, including Asset Register maintenance

CRM Duties:

  • Develop and maintain the System in-line with Group and MUK expectations
  • Audit Sales teams capabilities and usage of CRM to Company Standards
  • Prepare and deliver CRM Training Sessions, remotely, off-site and at Milton Keynes

Core Competences, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Effectively communicate technical information to non-technical personnel
  • Office365, Active Directory, Networks and User Support
  • Ability to create training material and train effectively
  • Knowledge of working within GDPR, Info Sec policies and operating procedures
  • Create, document and control Process Instructions
  • Software Automation / Workflow Processes / SQL Databases and Report Writing
