Innovative Design at Your Fingertips
POLAROS is a 6" corded rotary polisher, a concept well-known to any collision repair specialist or marine industry professional. However, POLAROS’ brilliance lies in the way it reinterprets and advances this concept.
Traditionally, polishers have often been long and relatively tall or featured protruding handles. POLAROS, on the other hand, shares the same low, elegant profile as Mirka’s award-winning sander, Mirka® DEROS RS 600X. This highly ergonomic design provides added stability and control, as it allows the user to keep their hands close to the polishing surface.
Ramp Up and Ramp Down Modes
One of POLAROS' intelligent features is the Ramp Up function, which gently raises the rpm when you increase the pressure applied to the workpiece. Ramp Up prevents the polishing compound from splattering, making the POLAROS less messy to use than conventional polishers. This function is turned off by default but easily activated by pressing two buttons.
The smart real-time power adjustment extends even further, as POLAROS includes the Ramp Down system. Ramp Down prevents the operator from applying excessive pressure to the machine or the surface. If the pressure becomes too high, the machine gradually lowers the rpm until the pressure is reduced.
The Strong and Silent Type
Equipped with a 750 W brushless motor, delivering 700–2,500 rpm and weighing just 3.86 lbs., the POLAROS punches well above its weight. And if you think that all that power must produce a whole lot of noise, think again. Even at full throttle, the POLAROS' noise level remains below 60 dB, making it a safe choice.
