Mirka Publishes Five New EPDs

Building on Mirka’s earlier work to better understand and communicate the environmental impact of abrasives, the new declarations cover products from the Abranet, Abranet Ace HD, Abralon, Hiomant, and Mirlon product ranges.

The EPDs are based on a third-party pre-verified Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) calculation model developed by Mirka and follow internationally recognised standards. They provide independently verified information about the environmental impacts of products throughout their life cycle, from raw material extraction and manufacturing to use and end-of-life treatment.

For Mirka’s customers and partners, the EPDs offer reliable environmental data to support sustainability reporting, informed purchasing decisions, and assessments of their own environmental footprints.

Beyond providing transparency, the Mirka pre-verified EPD tool and its underlying life cycle assessments help Mirka identify the main sources of environmental impact and support ongoing efforts to improve product design, material choices and manufacturing processes.
